Terms of Service

Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using CiteTax (citetax.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Use of the site
CiteTax provides free income tax calculators and educational guides covering federal and state income tax, withholding, self-employment tax, and quarterly estimated payments, for informational purposes only. Every tool applies a documented formula — cited to an IRS publication or state Department of Revenue table — to the numbers you enter. Results are estimates based on the assumptions each tool states, not a filing, a professional recommendation, or a substitute for advice from a qualified CPA, tax attorney, or financial advisor who knows your complete situation.
No warranty
The content on CiteTax is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the site is error-free, that outputs are accurate for every input, or that the site will be uninterrupted or available at all times. Your use of the site is at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CiteTax and its operator disclaim all liability for any damages — direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site.
Intellectual property
The content, design, and code of CiteTax are owned by its operator — a Wisconsin sole proprietorship — except where credited to an original source, such as IRS publications or state revenue department tables, which remain public government works. You may use the site freely for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, republish, or scrape CiteTax's content or calculators without permission.
Updates to this site and these terms
We may update the site over time. We may also update these Terms of Service. Continued use of the site after a change to these terms constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.
